Broadway Rocks Auditions

Are You Ready to Shine on Broadway? The Modesto Symphony Orchestra is looking for young singers to augment our chorus and orchestra on the stage at the Gallo Center for the Arts on Friday, June 4th. The program, entitled "Broadway Rocks", stars three Broadway veterans, our talented orchestra and members of the MSO Chorus. Principal Pops Conductor, Steven Reineke will conduct this memorable show with songs from hit Broadway musicals such as Hairspray, The Wiz, The Lion King, Hair and Rent.

MSO Chorus Auditions

Auditions for singers wishing to join the Chorus mid-season will be held on January 18 and 25, 2010, from 6:30 to 7:00 p.m. at Trinity United Presbyterian Church, 1600 Carver Road, Modesto.  Prospective singers are strongly urged to pre-schedule audition times through the MSO Chorus Manager in order to guarantee that Dr. Daniel R. Afonso, Jr., artistic director and conductor, will be able to hear them as planned.  Openings exist in all sections of the Chorus; tenors and basses are especially urged to audition.

Modesto Symphony Youth Orchestra Auditions 

We are still accepting applications for the 09/10 Season! The MSYO is especially looking for the students who can play the following instruments: Viola, Cello, Bass all Brass and Woodwinds and Percussion. Auditions will be held throughout the season at California State University, Stanislaus  CSUS.
