Endowment Fund gifts are vital to the future of the Modesto Symphony Orchestra. The principal of our established fund is invested to generate income in perpetuity. As the endowment grows, it further strengthens our institution. Gifts to the Endowment fund are acknowledged for one year. Gifts of $10,000 or more are permanently acknowledged in the concert program book.

ESTABLISHED FUNDS
A donor may make a general gift to the Endowment, endow a position in the orchestra, or may designate their gifts to one of the following funds:
The George Gagos Endowment Fund
Established to provide complimentary and discounted admissions to MSO concerts specifically for students and the underserved in the community. The Gartin Fund...Established to perpetuate Fay Gartin's commitment and interest in music education. Fay Gartin was General Manager of the Modesto Symphony Orchestra from 1976-1985. Interest earned is used to support our music education programs for young people.
The Mark A. Jordan Chair Fund
Established to underwrite the position of the Concertmaster in honor of Mark A. Jordan. This leadership fund was created to encourage future endowment gifts for the Association's Artistic and Administrative positions.
The Donelle Page Harp Chair Fund
Established in memory of Donelle Page, an extraordinary musician and human being, who served as the Modesto Symphony Orchestra’s Principal Harpist. Funds donated will assist the Modesto Symphony Orchestra Association underwrite the position of Principal Harp.
The Diane S. Lent Endowment Fund and the Mary Stuart Rogers Family Endowment Fund
Established to present the finest programs of educational in-school concerts and programs for children as well as a Friends and Family Concert for the general public. This programming takes place in Modesto in the Fall and Turlock in the Spring.
The Charlene M. Royer Fund
Established to provide income to be used for music scholarships. These scholarships are presented by the Modesto Symphony Guild Scholarship Program at the end of the school year to exceptional music students.
The Salgo Fund
Established to perpetuate Sandor Salgo's artistic contributions to the Modesto Symphony Orchestra Association. Maestro Salgo was Music Director of the Modesto Symphony Orchestra from 1977-1988. Interest earned is used to support artistic excellence in orchestra and guest artists.
The Randall Stanley Behr Fund
Established in memoriam to celebrate the artistic accomplishments of Maestro Randall Stanley Behr who collaborated with some of the world’s greatest singers and directors including Marilyn Horne, Placido Domingo, Peter Sellars and Frederica Von Stade. This fund will allow the Modesto Symphony Orchestra to continue to deepen and broaden its vocal programming.
